Our shower was thrown by my sister and mother and a fun time was had by all. Many of our friends were able to attend and it was fabulous to spend time with so many people just sharing the excitement of the upcoming addition to our family. We also got some fabulous outfits and fun toys! The only thing I was disappointed about is the photos. Somehow no one was in charge of taking photos so we not only never got a good shot of the adult guests but some of them are not in any photos. I was also disappointed that the only photo of Sierra and me that I liked (she always looks good; me not so much!) is all washed out, but you can't have everything. We had a fabulous afternoon with our friends, got some wonderful gifts and got to share all of our photos, plans and thoughts of our new baby daughter with everyone. Jeremy even put together a photo montage on a digital frame with all of the photos of Samantha with some beautiful music!

Announcing...

We have finally all agreed AND I have lived with the name long enough to decide it fits our baby…
Samantha Jade Yue Ling Tsang

It took ages because we had to choose a name that all three of us liked. Samantha is the only name we all liked (I liked several others) and Jade is the name of a mountain in Taiwan, which ties the name in with both Taiwan and Sierra’s mountain name, and it’s a name that Jeremy has always wanted for a daughter. Yue Ling is a generation name - all siblings in Jeremy's family have generation names which is where the first character matches for each same gender sibling so it matches Sierra's Chinese name (Yue Li).

Today is our baby shower. Sierra is VERY excited about the shower. Jeremy is not but it’ll be good for him! Maybe I’ll post a photo or two at some point!

We received an update on September 6 with photos, growth and court updates. Our case went to court August 2. That's later than we thought but that seems to be the case with everything in our adoption so far. Maybe we'll have a reversal and we'll have a quick court process! We can certainly hope!

	Our baby on August 22 - the day she turned 6 months! Sierra was NOT happy that they gave her a buzz cut but we were all happy to see her finally not lying down and to see her actually standing up was very exciting. Now if we could just bring her home we'll all be happy!

We watched The Next Food Network Star last year and Sierra wanted Guy Fieri to win from the beginning (and she voted for him) so when we realized he was cooking with kids at the State Fair we excitedly headed over. Sierra was interviewed by Guy and then made a pizza with him and then we got this great photo with them and Logan (I had Jeremy run up to the stage with him so he would be in the photo).

We had a great day at the Fair but it was HOT! Over 100 degrees. Jeremy and I took Logan and Sierra's friend Elizabeth. We got there just after 10:00am and left at 10:15pm. Everyone had tons of fun.

We keep hoping we'll get an update on our baby but haven't heard anything in over a month. Hopefully the next time I post something it will be an update of our baby or good news about the court process.
